Vines being worked on the slopes of Fleurie

Approach & production philosophy

Back to essentials. Observe. Take time.

Giving the land all the attention it deserves, preserving its soils, respecting its natural balance, letting the living do its work.

01 Back to the land

A choice, not a pose

Coming back to essentials, here, is not a pose. It is a necessity.

Coming back to essentials, here, is not a pose. It is a choice. The choice to give the land all the attention it deserves, to preserve its soils, to respect its natural balance, to let the living do its work. That is where our role begins.

Coming back to essentials means returning to the fundamentals: where we come from, and where what we make comes from.

02 Observation, above all

95%

of the work in the vineyard is observation

Understanding the plant's cycles. Reading the climate. Observing how each parcel responds, week after week, season after season. It is not the winegrower who imposes; it is nature that dictates. The weather dictates the treatments, the soil work, the work in the vines. Everything is governed by what we see, what we understand, what we listen to.

To be a good winegrower is to have followed the plant's cycle correctly. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Every year is different. Every week can change everything. That is what makes this craft demanding and exhilarating.

03 Intervene as little as possible, but at the right moment

Meticulous work among the vine rows

The vine needs to be guided, not forced

The aim is to intervene as little as possible, to preserve the soils, the organo-mineral complex, the natural balance of each parcel. But the vine remains a plant that needs care: pruning, trellising, trimming, treatment. The good winegrower finds the middle ground between letting be and lending a hand.

What is non-negotiable: no chemical weeding. No return to petrochemical inputs. That is a line we do not cross.

Organic & conversion

The estate is farmed organically. Some parcels are already certified. Others will officially convert to organic in 2026.

Time, as a tool

We take our time. For every step, in the vineyard as in the cellar.

Time is what turns grapes into wine, and wine into something worth keeping. We rush nothing. We do things as well as we can, as cleanly as we can, at the right moment.

04 What inspires us

Oak barrels, transmission and exacting standards

Family as our compass

Family, above all. A grandfather who started from nothing and rebuilt an estate of excellence, an example of what can be achieved with rigour, passion and time.

And in the background, the great estates, those that have managed to combine typicity and precision, tradition and exacting standards. Some are benchmarks in viticulture. Others in winemaking. Both interest us.

  In the cellar

The same exacting standards carry through into the transformation of grape into wine.
